If you're running into issues logging into your EVCS account, the following information can help.
Check spelling
Double check to make sure you've spelled your username and/or password correctly. This is the most common issue user's typically experience. With your password, sometimes it can be helpful to type it first into a plain text note on your device just to make sure it's spelled correctly, then copy / paste it into the password field.
Wrong email address
Another very common issue we see users running into is when they use multiple email addresses and/or create multiple accounts with different addresses. Check to make sure you're using the correct email address when signing in.
EVCS sends a confirmation email to every new account with the subject "Confirm your email address" and originating from our no-reply@evcs.com email address. Check the "To" section of the email to see which email the account was created under.
Authentication method
EVCS allows users to sign in with various types of authentication methods:
- Username and password
- Apple authentication using either
- Standard email address
- Private apple relay ID
- Google authentication
- Facebook authentication
Make sure that you're using the same authentication method you used to sign up with - especially if you originally chose to hide your email address with Apple private email relay.
Please note that signing in with any authentication method other than Username and password, is only supported in the EVCS app (i.e. not available through www.evcs.com)
Wrong password
If you've forgotten your password, you can go through the password reset flow by following the instructions in our help article Change your password.
Log in instead of Sign up
If you already have an account with us, make sure to use the Log in button instead of the Sign up button. Signing up again may get you stuck on an endless loop of attempting to validate your phone number which will not be possible as it is already associated to your existing account.
