How to use the EVCS app

The EVCS app is designed to simplify your charging experience by providing easy access to charging station information, managing your account, and handling payments. Follow these steps to get the most out of the EVCS app:

Download and set up

  1. Download the app
  2. Create an account
    • Email address and password
      • Open the app and select Sign Up.
      • Enter your personal details, including your name, email, and phone number.
      • Create a secure password and complete the registration process.
    • Single sign-on
      • Select from Apple, Google or Facebook authentication options and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Log In
    • Open the app and log in using your registered email and password.
  4. Find a Location
    • Look for stations on the EVCS charging network without creating an account.
    • Tab Subscribe & Save to learn more about EVCS subscription plans, pricing and features.

Finding charging stations

  1. Open the App
    • Launch the EVCS app on your smartphone.
  2. Use the Map
    • Navigate to the Stations tab on the bottom navigation bar.
    • View nearby charging stations displayed on the map.
  3. Search for a Specific Station
    • Use the search bar to find a specific station by name or address.
  4. Show your location
    • Click this button in the lower-right corner to zoom in to your specific location. Note that location permissions must be enabled for the EVCS app on your mobile device.
  5. List
    • See a list of locations near the area of the map you're zoomed in on.
    • Click Map to navigate back to the map view.
  6. You can filter results by:
    • Connector types
    • Minimum power level (kW)
    • Show locations coming soon

Starting a charging session

  1. From the map
    • Choose a charging station from the map or search results.
    • Tap Start Charging to enter the station details.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. From the navigation bar
    • Select the "Charge" button at the bottom of the screen.
    • Enter the station ID.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions
  3. Monitor Charging
    • You can track the progress of your charging session from the app’s charging screen.

Managing your account

To view and manage your account, navigate to the Profile tab.

  1. Profile overview
    • See your current subscription plan and kWh usage for the current billing cycle.
    • Manage Subscription: Review your current plan details and change or cancel your plan if needed.
    • Charging history: View past charging sessions and payment details.
  2. Manage your account
    • Account Details: name, email, password, or phone information.
    • Vehicle Information: Vehicle make and model, as well as your zip code.
    • Plans: Choose from available plan options to upgrade or downgrade your plan.
    • Payment Methods: Add, edit or remove your payment methods.
    • Payment History: Review your previous charges and subscription invoices.
  3. Privacy
    • Communications: Adjust marketing communications and data sharing preferences.
    • Terms & Conditions: Review EVCS' current terms of use, privacy policy, and subscription service terms and conditions
  4. Support
    • Contact Support: Call our toll-free number and connect with a member of our customer support team 24/7.
    • Report an issue: Submit a written request to our support team about an issue you're experiencing.
    • Help Center FAQ: Visit our help center for answers to common questions and to learn more about charging with EVCS.
  5. Sign Out
    • Choose this option to log out of the EVCS app.

Additional features

  1. Find charging cost information
    • Charging costs vary by station and are displayed in the app. Check the "Location Detail" by tapping a charging location map pin for up-to-date pricing.
  2. In-app notifications
    • EVCS sends in-app push notifications with updates on your charging status.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I close the keyboard to get back to the bottom navigation bar?

To close the keyboard and access the bottom navigation bar, tap the "Return" button on iOS. On Android, press the checkmark button to achieve the same result.
