If you're experiencing charges for every session even though you have an active EVCS subscription, there are a few potential reasons. Below are steps to help resolve this issue:
Duplicated Account
Sometimes, users may accidentally create a duplicate account, which can lead to being charged incorrectly for sessions. This is often the case if you're logged into a secondary account that doesn’t have your active subscription linked.
Solution:
- Log out of your account on the EVCS app.
- Log back in, making sure to use the email address associated with your subscription.
- To ensure you are accessing the correct account, verify your subscription details by navigating to Profile > Plans within the app.
If you cannot sign into your account or are having trouble remembering which email your subscription is associated with, please refer to this guide for help regaining access.
Subscription Allowance Exhausted
EVCS subscription plans come with a monthly charging allowance. Once this allowance is exhausted, any additional sessions will be charged at your plan's standard overage rate.
Solution:
- Check if you’ve reached your monthly limit by reviewing your subscription details in the app:
- Open the EVCS app and go to Profile > Plans.
- Here, you’ll see the number of sessions remaining for the month and details on overage rates.
- If your allowance has been used up, you will be charged at the standard rate for any additional charging sessions until the next billing cycle begins.
Charging Directly at the Station
Some users may inadvertently charge directly at the station using their credit card or through the web app instead of using the EVCS mobile app. This method will result in charges separate from their subscription plan.
Solution:
- Always ensure you are initiating charging sessions through the EVCS mobile app to utilize your subscription benefits.
