Download and Set Up
Download and Open the EVCS App
To create an EVCS account, you'll first need to download the EVCS app. For detailed instructions on downloading and installing the app, please see the Create an EVCS account article.
Finding charging stations
Open the App
Launch the EVCS app on your smartphone.
Use the Map
Navigate to the Stations tab on the bottom navigation bar. View nearby charging stations displayed on the map. Zoom in and click on a pin to view site-specific details such as:
- Site name
- Address / Directions
- Stations details
- Station ID
- Maximum kWh
- Connector types
- Current status
Search and Filter
Use the search bar to find a specific station by name or address. You can also filter results by:
- Connector type
- Minimum power level (kW)
Location Features
- Show your location: Click this button in the lower-right corner to zoom in to your specific location. Note that location permissions must be enabled for the EVCS app on your mobile device.
- List View: See a list of locations near the area of the map you're zoomed in on. Click Map to navigate back to the map view.
Starting a charging session
Initiate Charging
- From the map: Choose a charging station from the map or search results. Tap Start Charging to enter the station details. Follow the on-screen instructions.
- From the navigation bar: Select the Charge button at the bottom of the screen. Enter the station ID. Follow the on-screen instructions
Monitor Charging
You can track the progress of your charging session from the app’s charging screen.

Managing your account
To view and manage your account, navigate to the Profile tab.
Profile overview
- See your current subscription plan and kWh usage for the current billing cycle.
- Manage Subscription: Review your current plan details and change or cancel your plan if needed.
- Charging history: View past charging sessions and payment details.
Account
- Account Details: Update your name, email, password, or phone number.
- Vehicle Information: Update your vehicle make and model, as well as your zip code.
- Plans: Choose from available plan options to upgrade or downgrade your plan.
- Payment Methods: Add, edit or remove your payment methods.
- Payment History: Review your previous charges and subscription invoices.
- Wallet: View your wallet balance.
- Notifications: Adjust marketing communications.
Privacy
- Data Usage: Adjust data sharing preferences.
- Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions: Review EVCS' current Terms & Conditions and privacy policy
Support
- Chat with Support: Get answers to common questions with our 24/7 automated agent, or connect with a live agent Mon-Fri from 10am-7pm pacific.

Sign Out
Choose this option to log out of the EVCS app.

Find charging cost information
Charging costs vary by station and are displayed in the app. Check the Location Detail by tapping a charging location map pin for up-to-date pricing.
In-app notifications
EVCS sends in-app push notifications with updates on your charging status.

How do I close the keyboard to get back to the bottom navigation bar?
To close the keyboard and access the bottom navigation bar, tap the Return button on iOS. On Android, press the checkmark button to achieve the same result.
