1. Getting Started

Plug In Your Vehicle

Ensure your vehicle is turned off before proceeding.

Select the correct charging plug for your vehicle and firmly plug it into your vehicle's charging port.

Locate the Credit Card Reader

Many EVCS charging stations are equipped with a credit card reader to allow for direct payment.

Please note: The appearance and location of the credit card reader can vary depending on the specific charging station model. It will typically feature a slot for chip or swipe cards.

Examples of Credit Card Readers:

Here are a couple of examples of what the credit card reader might look like on different EVCS charging stations:

Example 2: A separate, small panel housing the credit card reader.

The exact appearance may vary, but look for a credit card icon or a designated area to use your card.

Initiate Payment at the Reader

Follow the on-screen prompts (if the station has a display) or the instructions indicated near the card reader:

  • Swipe Card: If there is a magnetic stripe reader, swipe your credit card through the slot in the direction indicated.
  • Insert Chip Card: If there is a chip reader, insert your credit card into the slot until it clicks and leave it there until prompted.

Charging Session Authorization and Start

After your payment information is successfully processed, the charging station will authorize your session.
Once authorized, the charging session will begin automatically. You should see a confirmation message on the station's screen (if equipped) or an indication that power is being delivered to your vehicle.
Some stations may additionally require you to press a "Start" button on the front panel.

2. During Your Charging Session

Monitoring Your Charging Session

For stations equipped with an LCD screen, you can monitor your charging progress directly on the display. For charging stations without an LCD screen, please refer to the indicator lights on the station for charging status.

3. Ending Your Session

Stopping the Charge

For stations equipped with an LCD Screen or Button Panel, follow the on-screen prompts or use the designated "Stop Charging" button on the station.

Once your vehicle has reached its preconfigured charge level, the charging session will typically end automatically.

Unplug Your Vehicle

Once the charging session has ended, carefully disconnect the charging plug from your vehicle and return it to the cradle.
