Changing your plan to suit your charging needs is simple and can be done within the EVCS app. This article covers how to upgrade, downgrade, crossgrade, or cancel your subscription.
Upgrades
Plan upgrades take effect immediately, rather than at the end of the billing cycle. A prorated amount from your current plan will be calculated and applied toward the price of the new plan.
Upgrade your plan
-
Log into the EVCS app and click Profile > Manage Plan > Change plan.
-
Select the new plan then click Continue at the bottom of the page.
-
Carefully review the details of the new plan, including pricing and renewal dates, then click Confirm Change to upgrade the plan.
Downgrades
Plan downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period and will be billed the new amount upon renewal. EVCS does not provide refunds for any unused kWh / days after a downgrade has been scheduled.
Downgrade Your Plan
- Log into the EVCS app and click Profile > Manage Plan > Change plan.
- Select the new plan then click Continue at the bottom of the page.
- Carefully review the details of the new plan, including pricing and renewal dates, then click Confirm Change to schedule the change.
Crossgrades (Switching Plan Types)
Crossgrades between regular monthly plans and weekly Hertz Rideshare plans will result in an error in the app. In order to switch plans you must Cancel your current subscription plan and re-subscribe once the original plan has ended.
Switching from Hertz Rideshare to a Regular Plan
Users switching from Hertz Rideshare plans to a regular plan may select from the available plans directly within the app after their rental plan expires.
Switching from a Regular Plan to Hertz Rideshare
-
Visit a Hertz rental location and scan the QR code provided by the Hertz agent to select a plan.
-
Sign in with your EVCS credentials (do not create a new account).
Cancellation
Users wishing to cancel their subscription may do so by following the instructions in our help center article How do I cancel my subscription plan?
